Works for me Wednesday- Mr. Clean

I am participating in the Works for me Wednesday carnival over at We are THAT family! Go check out all the great tips!

T1 likes to color on walls. Mr. Clean has been a wall saver at our house. The Magic Eraser has been put to use many times. Our favorite use is removing crayons. It does require a bit of old fashioned elbow grease. The other thing that works for us is requiring the child who colored on the walls help to remove the marks. She actually takes great delight in cleaning the walls - for the first 30 seconds. Then she's ready for my help. I assign her a designated spot. Then, I will remove a designated spot. And we take turns like this until the wall is clean. She usually waits about a week before coloring on the walls again!
Enjoy the pictures!

Hey there! We love Magic Eraser...even though it freaks me out on what the heck is in it to take permanent marker off my hardwood floor!??!?!

So thanks for popping over in my world.....I commented back about how I wouldn't proclaim that Aquaphor was "natural"...but in conjuction with the other part of our natural remedy, it was the best choice to trap and seal in the moisture to promote healing.

I hope that helps~! :)

What did we do before that magic eraser? I love it!

My house would be a different place if it weren't for Magic Erasers. =)

Just a warning that those magic erasers have been accused of causing chemical burns in children. There is some disagreement as to how it happens but you can google magic eraser burns and get some info.

We use wd-40 on crayons and it comes off like a charm!

Thanks Beth for the head's up about WD 40. I wonder if the oil leaves a mark? If you check out what snopes.com says about Mr. Clean, I think you'll see it is harmless. I think it must be similar to baking soda- which I use often to clean, and have also used on crayon when the Magic was out.
